What: The European Commission is constantly looking for experts to assist in the evaluation of proposals and project monitoring for the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. The call for experts and registration is open throughout the whole period (2021-2027).
As an evaluator you will:
• get up front experience with the application process in Horizon Europe, which can serve as useful inspiration, and become an advantage if you are considering applying for EU grants yourself.
• gain insight in Horizon Europe and the evaluation process, which will benefit not only you, but gives you an exclusive knowledge that can be shared and thereby benefit your research group, institute and faculty.
• be presented with the frontline research and research groups from all of Europe within your research area of expertise.
• have an opportunity for strengthening and widening your research network in a European context through the interaction with the other assigned experts.
• get the opportunity to influence the impact of Horizon Europe through the selection of applications from across the European research environments that applies the framework programme.
This session will provide you with guide hands-on information on HOW you sign up as an evaluator to the EU system by joining the database of independent experts. The session is hosted by Southern Denmark Research Support.
Who: The session is targeted researchers who want to assist in the evaluation of proposals for European research and innovation. By acting as an evaluator, you receive hands-on training on what it takes to prepare a winning Horizon Europe-proposal. You have a chance of being selected as an expert if you:
• Have a high level of expertise relevant fields of research
• Can be available for occasional, short-term assignments
