Working with education economics in TEK Education, primarily consist of distributing the faculty's education income (STAA income) between the faculty, the departments and the units.
The work takes place in close collaboration between TEK Education, TEK's Departments, TEK Economy and the Department of Economy at SDU.
The departments update the time/course distribution in TEK Manager (TEK's system for internal financial management). From the SDU Department of Economy, we receive the expectations for the faculty's education income in total. Based on this data & information, TEK Education prepares budgets for expected education economics and keeps these continuously updated at unit level. At the end of each year, TEK Education calculates the final distribution of these.
In addition, TEK Education solves several other tasks related to education economics, e.g., assessment of the finances of new programmes and other education related initiatives and preparation of management information.
