Each spring, a new GANTT chart of the Health and Safety at Work group’s work at the Department of Biology is created. Focus areas for the coming year are selected. We strive to have special risk areas (ergonomics, building matters, physical and psychological conditions as well as chemistry, biology, etc.) as part of the focus areas. The Health and Safety at Work group uses different methods to collect data from the employees during the work on the different areas. For example joint and group meetings, interviews, questionnaires, and theme days. Information from the Health and Safety at Work Group are primarily given on the weekly Department meetings. General issues and the emergency plan are placed on the Department’s web site. The emergency plan is reviewed and updated on the Health and Safety at Work Group meetings (ca. every two months).
