- Label the container according to applying regulations on labelling

Therefore, we will only draw your attention to the sorting key, where all the substances are collected in their respective waste group for the purpose of the disposal method and price, and NOT because they resemble each other. Therefore, there is no guarantee that substances within the same waste group can be mixed together.
Pay special attention to Group O, where organic peroxides must not be mixed with oxidizing substances, and also Group X, where waste containing cyanide must be kept separate from acids.
Labelling of chemical waste
All chemical waste must be carefully labelled with a chemical waste label.
Instructions
- In accordance with the sorting key, tick off waste group.
- List the components of the waste.
- Write the name of the institute.
- Write your name and your department.
- Check pH, and tick off alkaline, acidic or neutral.
If the waste contains at least 0,1% of a carcinogenic substance the container provided with this label
Waste must be stored according to the same rules which apply for chemicals until they are sent off.
Lab technicians are of course familiar with the specific waste formulations, which belong to the most common types of waste they have in their laboratories.
