From 2023 we will use fixed timetables from one year to another – if possible. If you are satisfied with the timetable you had last year, you need not do anything, and the timetable will be a copy of last year’s timetable. |

The timetable is prepared by the timetable manager, based on the wishes submitted. The final timetable will be sent to the teacher for approval. |

November |
The final timetables can be seen in the individual course descriptions.
If acute needs for changes of the timetable during the semester should arise, please send an e-mail to the study secretary at FKF Studiesekretaer mailbox fkf-studiesekretaer@sdu.dk, with c.c. to timetable manager Lisbeth Anni Mortensen lam@sdu.dk, accompanied by a justification for the change. If there is not sufficient justification, the change must be approved by the relevant head of education before it can be implemented.
Registration for courses
Students will register for courses within a 10-day period at the end of the previous semester.
Registration periods are 20th-30th May for autumn courses and 20th-30th November for spring courses.
Textbooks
An e-mail about ordering of textbooks will be sent out. The teacher orders textbooks from the student bookstore Academic Books, where students can buy them, please use the above link to the order form.
Teachers employed at the Department og Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy can contact study secretary Inger Rose Hansen, irh@sdu.dk for teacher copies of textbooks. Teachers who are not employed at FKF must obtain teacher copies themselves.

See this page with proposals for bachelor projects, where all VIP’s are contacted every year regarding possible updates and new projects.
For each project, a digital contract must be submitted via the form system – and no later than one week after the start of the semester, which is 7th September and 7th February. In the course descriptions, there is a link to a form with the contract, which the student must fill in, attach a project description and state the name and e-mail address(es) of the supervisor(s).
The form proceeds in a flow for approval by the supervisor(s), the head of education (who indicates the FTE allocation distribution upon agreement with the study secretary) and finally by the head of studies.

Censorship (second examiners)for projects
• External second examiner (bachelor projects, Master’s theses and company projects:
- Pharmacy: An e-mail is sent out conc. input for ordering external second examiners via ”Censor-IT”, which the secretary will take care of.
- Physics: The teacher will be asked to choose an external second examiner outside SDU from the censor corps in physics.
- Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry: The teacher will be asked to choose an external second examiner outside SDU from the censor corps in chemistry.
Internal second examiner (ISA’s of 10 ECTS): The teacher will be asked to choose an internal second examiner within SDU.
ISA’s of 5 ECTS: Assessment is made exclusively by the teacher.
Especially regarding Master’s theses
In due time before the oral Master’s thesis exam, the supervisor will be asked to submit information about time and place for the thesis exam to study secretary Inger Rose Hansen, irh@sdu.dk, so that she can book rooms and make the obligatory announcement that is published in FKF's weekly newsletter, KIK, and on the department's website.
The oral exam must be held one month after submission, at the latest.
Pharmacy courses: Have their own evaluation model, which is managed by the Pharmacy Study Board. The evaluation model below is for Physics, Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry:
- The teaching committees select a number of courses for evaluation and the teacher responsible will be contacted by the teaching committee.
- 10 ECTS per education per semester, i.e. app. 1/3 of the courses are evaluated every year.
- As a rule, new courses are picked out for evaluation, as well as if there is a new teacher in a course.
- The evaluation method is optional.
- The evaluation may be made via itslearning. Søren Sten Hansen på shan@sdu.dk should be contacted about this.

Exam dates
Planning of exam dates is handled by The Faculty of Science study administration. Exam dates will be available for review before they are finally published online.
It is important to check the dates for your courses at this stage to catch and rectify any problems. Once the exam dates are published online, they can only be changed at the discretion of the head of studies and by consent from all students registered for the exam. This is handled by study secretary Tina H. Pedersen, tinahp@sdu.dk.
Course exams
Winter exams are done in January (reexam on Mondays in February / March). Summer exams are done in June (reexam in August).
Study secretary Tina H. Pedersen, tinahp@sdu.dk, is responsible for everything regarding exams in FKF’s courses. She will contact the teachers when the time approaches.
All administration takes place via the program Digital Exam. The results for each individual prerequisite / exam element are registered separately, starting with prerequisites, if any. See also the individual course description. Guide to Digital Exam.
