Senior employee scheme

When you have reached the age of 58, you can enter into a voluntary agreement on a senior scheme with your manager. There are several scenarios in relation to your age and what kind of voluntary senior scheme can be entered into.

A senior scheme can be gradual retirement, reduced working hours or paid time off. An agreement can combine several elements.

As a general rule, you must have been employed for a minimum of 10 years in a full-time position in order to enter into a senior scheme agreement.

For professors

Professors or clinical professors who wish to reduce their working hours towards the end of their careers may have the option to transition to a 5–10% professorship.
