Work injury

A work injury is a physical or psychological injury that occurs after an incident or impact that happened suddenly or within the last 5 days. You must report the incident as soon as possible.

As an employee at the University of Southern Denmark, you are covered by the Danish Industrial Injuries Act.

Students must contact their own insurance company in the event of an accident, unless they are injured while performing a work task for the university.

Occupational diseases (work-related illnesses) must be reported through your own doctor.

Please note that according to the Danish Industrial Injuries Act, SDU is obliged to report work injuries within 14 days of the incident.
