Salary Negotiations 2026
Annual Salary Negotiations 2026
It will soon be 2026, which means that the annual salary negotiations will begin again. The salary negotiations are conducted in four rounds throughout the year.
The Central Liaison Committee has decided to adjust the annual salary negotiations calendar from 2026 due to an increasing number of negotiations.
- The Academics round will be extended and run until the end of August. As something new, a separate Manager round will be introduced at the end of the year, which will run from September through November.
- The Union of Commercial and Clerical Employees (HK) & laboratory technicians and 'Other' round is scheduled as usual.
Negotiations will take place at 1 November 2025 level, and the results of the salary negotiations will be implemented as of 1 April 2026, unless otherwise agreed between the negotiating parties.
The negotiation is not considered finalised until the manager and the employee representative have signed the negotiation result. Thereafter, the result of the negotiation will be implemented with a written notification to the employee and, if applicable, salary payment.
