Three days focusing on designing education that empowers students to create value in workplace and society

SDU is hosting EPICUR Staff Week: From Teaching to Impact - Designing Education that Empowers Students to Create Value in Workplace and Society on 20-22 October 2026 in Odense.

Staff week is aimed at lecturers and educational developers who want to strengthen the practical relevance of their courses and work systematically with the connection between learning objectives, learning activities and methods of assessment.

Keynote and workshop on value creation pedagogy

A central part of the programme is a keynote presentation and an interactive workshop with Martin Lackéus from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. He works with value creation pedagogy, an educational approach in which students engage in creating value in working life and society, and where teaching is linked to engagement, learning and societal relevance.

What will you take home with you?

Through workshops and joint sessions, participants work on their own courses. The goal is for participants to leave with concrete results, such as sharper learning objectives linked to competences in work and social life, adjusted learning activities and a concrete plan for how to implement the changes.
