Second payment of special holiday allowance
Special holiday allowance in the state (which for many years has been paid out together with April pay) of 1.5 per cent is granted in addition to normal pay during the taking of holiday. The allowance replaces the holiday allowance of 1% under the Danish Holiday Act.
From 2022, the special holiday allowance will be paid out twice a year.
The first payment in the current leave year was made at the end of May 2022 and covered the period from 1 September 2021 to 31 May 2022.
The special holiday allowance for the period 1 June 2022 to 31 August 2022 will be paid out together with the salary payment at the end of August 2022.
