About the agreeement
Researchers from SDU and the University hospitals in the Region of Southern Denmark publish open access free of charge in a number of journals from IOP Publishing. Articles will be published with an CC BY license. Open access costs are covered instead by an agreement between Danish research institutions and IOP. The agreement is in effect from January 1st, 2023, up to and including 2025.
The agreement includes most journals from IOP Publishing. Only some society titles are excluded. You can see all included titles here: Eligible Journals from IOP Publishing
Conditions
To have open access covered by the agreement the following conditions must be met:
- The article must be accepted after January 1st, 2023.
- The article must be a research article. This also includes letters, papers, reviews and special issue articles.
- The Corresponding Author* must be affiliated to SDU or a University Hospital in the Region of Southern Denmark and this must be visible in the article.
* The Corresponding Author is defined in this agreement as the single author who corresponds with the journal at the time of acceptance.
If your article is identified as eligible under the agreement, you will receive an email from IOP after acceptance. Your article will automatically be published open access.
