About the agreeement
Researchers from SDU and the University hospitals in the Region of Southern Denmark publish open access free of charge in a number of journals from Springer . Instead, open access costs are covered by an agreement between Danish research institutions and Springer. The agreement is in effect from March 21st 2023 up to and including 2026.
The agreement includes a selection of journals from Springer, Palgrave Adis and Academic Journals. You can see an excel file with all included journals here.
A national upper limit exists on how many articles can be published under the agreement each year. This limit it set to correspond with the current yearly number of publications with Springer Nature.
A full list of journals covered by the agreement can soon be found at Springer Natures site.
Pure open access journals are excluded from the agreement.
