The General Occupational Health and Safety Committee at SDU

The committee coordinates cooperation about health and safety at the University of Southern Denmark and creates the basis for the rest of the health and safety organisation to carry out its work. The General Occupational Health and Safety Committee covers all of SDU’s geographical units and activities in Denmark.

The General Occupational Health and Safety Committee consists of four occupational health and safety representatives, four management representatives, two student observers and the Rector as chair of the committee. The administrative requirements of the General Occupational Health and Safety Committee are carried out by the Occupational Health and Safety Office

Meetings of the General Occupational Health and Safety Committee

It has been decided in the rules of procedure for the General Occupational Health and Safety Committee that the General Occupational Health and Safety Committee shall hold one ordinary meeting at least once a quarter. Extraordinary meetings shall be held in the case of serious accidents, damage to health or inflows thereto, and as other needs arise.

The General Occupational Health and Safety Committee holds one general meeting annually with the rest of the health and safety organisation. The starting point for general meetings is current themes or challenges for the work environment, where status is reviewed and future initiatives are discussed. See previous presentations from general meetings.
