Project management

Researchers rely heavily on effective project management, even if they don't view themselves as project managers. Clear objectives with impactful potential are essential when applying for foundation funding and managing the project. Furthermore, foundations support not just projects, but also the people and organizations involved, emphasizing the need for a well-defined project structure.

Research management

Research management can be many things and contains many dimensions. Researchers can be inspired by management theory, but management theory must be adapted to the context in which researchers are performing. SDU has therefore developed its own code for good research management.

Management of funding application processes

The universities are currently in a transition phase in which they are increasingly dependent on external funding. Therefore, it is even more important than before that researchers develop and train the ability to understand the funding landscape, are able to prepare a funding strategy, are able to plan and organise application processes, etc.

Managing research groups and research environments

Today, there is an ever-increasing demand for researchers to work across disciplines and sectors, both in research projects and in everyday life. The emphasis therefore shifts from researchers leading themselves and their own research to leading a research group and a research environment.
