SDU IT
Basic AI skills
A genuine course in getting started with using artificial intelligence in your work
In this micro-course, you will build basic skills in AI literacy.
“AI literacy” covers technical, practical and ethical skills for using artificial intelligence. You will learn them here, so you can feel confident and competent when using AI in your work at SDU.
During the course, you will learn to:
- Understand how chatbots work and assess which tasks you can use them for
- Write instructions that give the results you want
- Evaluate and improve AI-generated output with a critical eye
- Navigate rules and guidelines for the responsible use of AI at SDU with confidence
- Reflect on the ethical dilemmas and pitfalls linked to using artificial intelligence in your work
The course is structured as short chapters that you can complete at your own pace. Each chapter includes exercises, which we recommend you do to get the full benefit. Becoming “fluent” in AI requires practical training, so do not miss the chance to get some hands-on digital experience.
You can also take the course with a colleague, so you can discuss the content and exercises as you go.
Enjoy the course.
