One year with Online Open Day: how it has gone
Online offer for potential international SDU students
Since Online Open Day was held for the first time in January 2023, the number of visits has risen sharply and everything is running smoothly thanks to a successful collaboration between the five faculties, SDU RIO, SDU IT and SDU Student Services.
Over the past year, Online Open Day has been held a total of four times. The number of visitors peaked at 902 visits at the latest event in January 2024 – when the visitors came mainly from Germany, Italy, Spain and Poland. In comparison, the event in January 2023 had 440 visits.
Visitors can choose between different Zoom rooms
At Online Open Day, each faculty has its own Zoom room where visitors can meet and chat with two international students who talk about their education programme, life as a student at SDU and what it is like to come to Denmark as an international student.
Staff from Admission host three Zoom rooms where visitors can get answers to all their questions about admission to a bachelor or master’s degree programme, and in SDU International’s Zoom room prospective students can hear more generally about what it is like to move to and study in Denmark. Most recently, SDU RIO has joined the event and is helping to make visitors more aware of career opportunities in Denmark.
Each time Online Open Day is held, new perspectives and development opportunities arise that make us more aware of the target audience and contribute to the continuous improvement of Online Open Day.
One thing is for sure – Online Open Day is here to stay!
