Do you want to be part of an unforgettable party with students and your colleagues – all while making a difference for the kind participants and becoming part of the community?
If so, apply to be a volunteer at the 2024 Start of Semester Party, which takes place on 13 and 14 September 2024!
About the party
The Start of Semester Party is a non-profit party for SDU’s students and organised by student volunteers. It is the volunteers who together set the framework for creating one of Denmark’s largest university parties.
What’s needed?
We need extra help in our entrance where you help check tickets or help out in our coat check.
Other tasks may include:
- Barkeeping
- Being a runner (and help with re-stocking and cleaning up)
- Cleaning up Saturday morning/afternoon
- Assist with dismantling on Sunday
What’s in it for you?
We offer volunteers:
- A ticket for the entire Start of Semester party
- Access to the volunteers’ lounge with:
- Volunteers’ bar (with extra discounts especially for volunteers)
- Volunteers’ toilet trailer
- Wellness/lounge area
- Exclusive view of the stage
- Volunteers’ entrance (in other words, no queuing up before your shift)
- Invitation to volunteers’ party and ace events for volunteers only
- Food and (non-alcoholic) beverages during your shift
- Drinks tickets for the day of the party you’re off duty
- Volunteers receive a goodie bag on the day of the party they’re working
And, of course, being part of a huge project that brings so much joy and where you
can make a lot of new acquaintances across the university!
