SDG Camp for students from SDU Esbjerg and AAU Esbjerg

We were so lucky to be granted the funding for a SDG / Green transition camp for our students at SDU Esbjerg and AAU Esbjerg from the municipality of Varde.  Thus, the camp is a collaboration between SDU and AAU. 

About the camp

The camp is to take place this spring and the municipality and business council of Varde are responsible for finding the companies. We are hoping for 10 companies.

The topic for the camp is green transition – how to make the best of the SDG and transition etc. The municipality of Varde and business’ are also interested in the networking part of it and to make themselves visible and attractive for our students.

The camp will be interdisciplinary among the students and the aim is to make diverse groups of students across the campus’ because it creates better innovative solutions. We are hoping for 60-80 students.

We have stressed that all companies or organizations can participate the important part is that they have a challenge within the green transition.

I am currently working on setting up the webpage for information, signing up etc. for the students.  They will also receive preliminary information for saving the dates, and I am working on this too.

The SDG Camp has the following program

• Friday 29th of April – the students visits the company they have been assigned to (bus transport is included in the project)
• Saturday 30th of April – camp starts at 12.00 o’clock
• Sunday 1st of May – Camp ends at 12. o’clock
• Monday 2nd of May – closing ceremony at 16.00 o’clock, presentation from the groups, judging and celebration

Dates are fixed, but more information on the program will follow.

What does this mean for you?

I hope you will all save the dates - at least for the closing ceremony since it will allow you to meet the participating companies and learn from the students.

I will also need experts for Saturday and a judging committee, but I will get back to you on this.
