The figures for this year’s applications to higher education programmes via quota 2 have been published. The University of Southern Denmark has seen a rise in the number of applicants for the third year in a row.

Henning G. Kruse Foundation donates landmark building in Esbjerg to SDU
On 1 May 2025, the Henning G. Kruse Foundation will transfer the landmark property at Sædding Strandvej 18 in Esbjerg to the University of Southern Denmark. The building was previously the private residence of pioneer and businessman Henning G. Kruse and has been owned by the Henning G. Kruse Foundation since his death in 2022. Now the building will be used for research and development activities.

On 30 January 2025, the University of Southern Denmark applied to the European Commission for the HR Excellence in Research certification. The effort underlines SDU’s commitment to creating attractive working conditions and career development opportunities for researchers, and the certifi-cation will strengthen research applications, particularly in EU contexts.

Partial Closure of Campustorvet
Due to the renovation of the ceiling at Campustorvet in Odense, construction workers will be present, and the square will be partially closed from Thursday, February 27, for approximately three and a half weeks.
