Things we already do that contribute to sustainability:
- The fume hoods are running on reduced operation in the evening.
- Most lights are activated with motion sensors.
- There are recirculation systems in the fume hoods regarding water for reflux.
- The temperature at SDU has been changed.
- We sort some of the waste: Paper, organic, metal, hard plastic, electronic.
- The printers are set to default black and white and double-sided printing. The printers are turned off doing the night.
- We turn off heat blocks and water bath when it’s not in use.
- We keep the windows and doors closed in the labs.
- We share large equipment.
These are things we hardly notice in our day-to-day work which contribute to sustainability.
