Cancer cells are susceptible to membrane rupture induced-death because of their fast growth rates and shape changes that occur during metastasis. Membrane-repair mechanisms in cells are therefore over-expressed in cancer cells. Here, we will study the mechanisms of membrane repair using molecular simulations, in collaboration with the Danish Cancer Society, Copenhagen.
