Projektbeskrivelse
This project will target the construction of air- and moisture-sensitive organometallic molybdenum(0) complexes, using enantiopure isocyanide ligands.
The isocyanide ligands will be prepared from chiral primary amines, and we will explore how chirality of the ligand induces asymmetry in the properties of the molybdenum(0) center.
Ligands and complexes will be characterized by routine NMR, UV-vis absorption and emission, and FTIR spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction studies where appropriate, and chiral asymmetry probed by vibrational circular dichroism.
