Illness and absence:
Please send an email to the person responsible for absence at the department (Jette Risom) or alternatively to ivl@sam.sdu.dk on your first day of illness/absence. Remember also to inform when you are back at work again.
If you have teaching on the day of absence you need to inform the students on ItsLearning and also inform the SDU Uddannelse Planning – depending on the course:

Holidays:
Ordinary holiday - concurrent:
Holiday can be taken at the same time as it is earned and 16 months in advance. You accrue 2.08 days of holiday per month from September to August totaling 25 days of holiday per year. The holiday must be allocated in the period September to December the year after (the holiday period).
Special holiday:
The right to the 5 special holidays is accrued in the calendar year the year before and are taken the year after from May to April.
In SDU’s HR system Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) you can place, see, and change already planned holidays:
- Log in to HCM: http://hcm.sdu.dk/ and click on Company Single Sign-On.

Care days:
If you have children under the age of 8, you must inform the person responsible for absence at the department (Jette Risom) about the number of children, including their birth dates. If you have previously been employed by a state institution, you should also indicate if any days for the current calendar year have already been taken with the previous employer.
