Status of the restructuring, continuous updates
Status – week 12
Updates from weeks 11 and 12.
Joint student counselling
In week 12, a workshop was held with the participation of SDU Education and the faculties with a focus on aligning expectations on tasks and success criteria for the joint student counselling at SDU. The workshop showed broad agreement on what is needed for us to have strong student counselling with a common professional foundation at SDU, so that students receive the right guidance at the right time and in the right format during their education.
Today, there is a big difference in how student counselling is handled at the faculties. This difference will continue to a certain extent in student counselling in SDU Education in the coming period. At the same time, work is continuing to concretise the framework for future student counselling and to clarify how counselling is integrated into the educational administration work at the faculties and SDU Education to ensure coherence and coordination in relation to the students.
The recruitment of four new counsellors has been initiated to ensure that the necessary resources are available to carry out the tasks that have been transferred to SDU Education.
Collaboration agreements for Planning
The work on collaboration agreements between Planning and the study administrations of the faculties is still ongoing. The agreements are drawn up in workshops and build on previous preparatory workshops where tasks and interfaces were clarified.
The collaboration agreements include, among other things:
- purpose and scope
- task portfolio
- Distribution of roles and tasks
- task fulfilment in the campus cities
- organisation of the collaboration, including meeting structures
- appendices (process descriptions, guides, annual cycle, etc.)
Appointment of team leaders
The appointments of the team leaders for the faculty teams in Planning are being finalised and represent an important milestone in the establishment of the department. The position of team leader for the EVU team in Planning is expected to be advertised soon. Until then, Britta Worm will continue as acting team leader.
End of the transition phase
The first quarter of 2026 is the transition phase of the reorganisation. During this period, there has been a need for continued collaboration across the organisation to ensure the solution of both policy and operational tasks covered by the transition, especially where employees have performed both policy and operational tasks, it has not been possible to fully separate the tasks from the start.
Overall, the division of tasks is now in place. However, there are still a few areas where tasks are temporarily solved cross-functionally. These clarifications are handled in dialogue between SDU Education and the individual faculty and are included in the cooperation agreements.
