The transformation of SDU's study administration

On 23 September, the Rectorate's decision on SDU's future study administration was announced. In the coming months, a short status update will be published here every Thursday so that employees and managers can follow what is currently in focus in the process and what activities are being initiated.

    A common view of core tasks and synergies

    During the transition phase, we focus on getting a good common understanding of the tasks and areas that are gathered in SDU Education in the new organisation. We need to get to know each other's core tasks and find the connections and synergies that provide value across the organisation.

    Collaboration agreements are taking shape

    The collaboration agreements are a key tool in the transition phase. They are intended to clarify tasks, responsibilities and interfaces so that the collaboration between the study administrations of the faculties and SDU Education works in practice.

    Most employees will continue with their current tasks during the initial period. The focus is now on describing the tasks with a clear division of responsibilities and establishing good relationships in the new contexts to ensure stable operations during the transition period.

    Development and operations go hand in hand in SDU Education

    The educational administrative tasks that are currently the responsibility of the faculties will be split up. Strategic tasks (policy) will be placed close to the programme management at the faculties to support the overall academic direction. The more practical and administrative tasks (operations) will be gathered in SDU Education in Central Administration.

    Focus on working environment and management structure in the new organisation

    At SDU Education, we are currently working intensively to put the final pieces in place in the organisation leading up to the turn of the year. This includes the constitution of managers in the new teams and the establishment of a temporary work environment network to support employees through the change.
