Focus on working environment and management structure in the new organisation

At SDU Education, we are currently working intensively to put the final pieces in place in the organisation leading up to the turn of the year. This includes the constitution of managers in the new teams and the establishment of a temporary work environment network to support employees through the change.

Temporary work environment network

To maintain focus on well-being and dialogue during the process, we are establishing a temporary health and safety network that brings together health and safety representatives, union representatives and managers.

Together with Birgit Jahn, Health and Safety Manager at SDU Education, I will have a coordinating role in bringing together the network, which will play an important role in giving employees a clear voice in the process and creating a forum where the challenges and questions that arise along the way can be brought up and discussed.

Establishing leaders

At the same time, we are working hard to appoint the future leaders of SDU Education. Of course, we understand that affected employees want to know as soon as possible who their acting team leader is and who they will report to. 

In total, there will be six team leaders in Planning, a deputy head of department and a head of section. In addition, Head of Section in Student Services Rikke Revsholm will take on the role of team leader in the Study and Wellbeing Counselling team until a new team leader has been appointed.

We will announce this as soon as the constitutions are finalised.

Dialogue and visits to the faculties

After the autumn break, I will visit the faculties to meet those of you who work with study administration on a daily basis. I would like to give a brief status on the work with the new organisation and hear about your thoughts and any concerns. At the same time, I will tell you a little about what SDU Education is becoming for a department – because now we are moving into a new phase where we are starting to look ahead and talk about the new things we will create together.

The most important thing for me is that we maintain an open dialogue about the change – and that everyone feels heard in the process we are in the middle of.
