KFU – clear direction for cross-coordination
17. February saw the inaugural meeting of the new coordinating forum.
Work on the terms of reference continues
The steering committee has discussed the framework for the Coordinating Forum for Study Administration (KFU) based on draft terms of reference.
At the KFU meeting on 17 February, we discussed the draft and took a step forward in clarifying KFU's mandate – including which themes and decisions belong in the forum.
The next step is to further sharpen the terms of reference so that it both clarifies the mandate and framework and provides a clear direction for KFU's work. The terms of reference will therefore be discussed again at the KFU meeting in March, where the interaction with the underlying forums will also be included.
KFU will be SDU's strategic and coordinating forum for the development and operation of the study administration and will be the place where we make concrete decisions and qualify solutions and prioritise initiatives when tasks cut across the faculties and Central Administration.
The goal is to create a more coherent study administration with a focus on users. The committee consists of me as chairman and the faculties' heads of education administration. I look forward to a strong collaboration with the heads of programme administration – both bilaterally and in KFU.
At several faculties, it has required organisational adjustments to ensure that the right functions have the mandate to enter into agreements and make decisions across departments. This is a prerequisite for KFU to be able to make decisions and support smooth collaboration across the organisation.
Thank you for a great New Year's reception – and the end of the weekly updates
Even though it's been a while, I would still like to thank you for the good energy at SDU Education's first new year’s reception. It was the first time we were all together in the new organisation, and it provided a strong common starting point for 2026.
We enter the year with secure operations as our foundation and with a focus on creating a study administration where we work more cohesively and where both lecturers and students find easy, clear and safe access to help – built on the common framework and the strengthened cohesion we now create across the organisation.
Now that SDU Education is unified, ongoing communication will be more direct. That's why we're rounding off the weekly OSU updates on this page. In future, we will communicate in the line, here on the site when relevant, or via SDU's usual channels when there is news that has significance across the organisation.
