Coronavirus: Increased readiness at SDU
The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) is developing rapidly in a number of countries, including Italy.
Against this background, the National Board of Health has now sharpened their preparedness and recommendations regarding coronavirus. The recommendation from the Danish authorities is that all employees at educational institutions that have been in the special high-risk areas; China, South Korea, Iran and Italy (regions Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy, Piemonte, Veneto), stay home for 14 days after leaving the territories.
Employees are recommended to follow this recommendation and work from home for 14 days counting from the day they returned home from one of the infection areas.
Employees will receive their usual salary in connection with their stay at home, even if it is not possible to work at home because of the job content, work assignment or because employees do not have the necessary work tools available at home.
According to the National Board of Health, for all students and staff who have returned from high-risk areas and who have specific tasks in the elderly and health care sector, they are required to have a 14-day quarantine, under no circumstances may they enter hospitals, care centers, etc., where there are people who are particularly vulnerable if they are infected with COVID-19.
