EPICUR
Apply for funding to develop integrated EPICUR learning elements
SDU is now launching the third call for applications, giving lecturers the opportunity to apply for funding to develop and implement new learning elements together with colleagues across the EPICUR alliance.
The aim is to support initiatives that provide students with learning opportunities across universities and national borders.
Integrated programmes give lecturers the opportunity to share their expertise with colleagues at other EPICUR universities. This can range from joint guest lectures to projects where students collaborate digitally or in person. The aim is to strengthen students’ academic skills and provide them with international experience.
What is EPICUR?
EPICUR is a European university alliance where nine institutions collaborate to develop new teaching methods and strengthen international cooperation in education programmes. The alliance gives students the opportunity to take subjects and courses across the partner universities – often jointly developed and lectured by lecturers from several countries.
– When we develop programmes together with our European partners in EPICUR, we give students an international dimension to their learning – without them necessarily having to spend a whole semester abroad. This enhances academic development and their opportunities in a global labour market, and it is an important part of SDU's efforts to incorporate internationalisation into teaching, says Pro-rector Helle Waagepetersen.
What can be funded?
Funding is available for activities that are an integral part of education programmes at SDU and are developed in collaboration with at least one other EPICUR university. These can be:
- Integrated EPICUR learning elements: Joint activities (e.g. online exercises, projects, fieldwork, guest lectures) integrated into existing subjects, where parts of the teaching are developed and delivered collaboratively between universities.
Integrated EPICUR courses: Entire subjects that are part of education programmes at at least two EPICUR universities and are developed jointly. If the subject is open to students from other EPICUR partners, it must be at least 3 ECTS.
Learning Pathways: A subject package across EPICUR universities where students can combine compulsory subjects and electives and transfer ECTS to their own programme of study.
Joint Degrees: Fully integrated bachelor's or master's degree programmes jointly developed and offered by at least three EPICUR universities.
You can apply for up to 50.000 DKK per project and up to 75.000 DKK per learning pathway.
