Pure pep
f you sometimes sigh at the thought of working in Pure, we’ve put together some motivational Pure pointers to lift your spirits.
Update your Pure profile and get that rewarding check mark moment:
Keep your Pure profile updated - for your own and the university’s benefit
The Pure platform is not just an administrative tool—it’s the university’s official research registry and a central gateway to making your research visible both internally and externally. Keeping your profile updated benefits you as a researcher, your collaborators, and the university as a whole.
Be visible and highlight collaboration opportunities
An updated Pure profile is your digital business card. It makes it easy for colleagues, potential collaborators, and journalists to find you and your research. If your profile lacks recent publications, current projects, or collaboration details, you risk missing out on valuable connections and visibility.
Documentation and merit
Pure is used to report research output to authorities and funding bodies. Accurate and complete information is not just beneficial—it’s essential for documenting research production, quality, and impact. An updated profile makes it easier to showcase your research efforts in applications, evaluations, and merit processes.
Communication to the outside world
The university’s website automatically pulls information from Pure. Your profile is therefore a key channel for disseminating your work. Journalists, business partners, and international researchers often encounter your Pure profile first when searching for your name or research area. A detailed profile strengthens the university’s overall presence and highlights the breadth and strengths of its research groups.
A shared resource
When everyone contributes to keeping their profiles up to date, the university gains a reliable and comprehensive picture of its research. This supports strategic planning, quality assessments, and the university’s national and international profile.
Get started
The sooner you update your profile, the greater the chance your research will be seen, used, and recognized—both within and beyond the university:
1. Update your publications regularly—ideally when they’re accepted or published.
2. Add projects and collaborations to make current activities visible.
3. Maintain your profile text so it always reflects your research interests and areas of expertise.
