Wi-Fi via Eduroam
Do you use Eduroam? You may need to update your Wi-Fi setup
SDU IT will replace the Eduroam certificate on 10 September 2026. If you use an SDU-managed Windows computer, Mac, or iPhone, you generally do not need to do anything. If you use Linux, Android, private devices, or other non-SDU-managed equipment, you must update the Eduroam setup yourself before 10 September.
You can update your configuration now and avoid problems connecting to Eduroam when the certificate changes.
Who needs to take action?
SDU-managed Windows, Mac and iPhone: You generally do not need to do anything. SDU IT updates the Eduroam setup automatically.
Linux, Android, private devices and other non-SDU-managed equipment: You must update the Eduroam configuration yourself. Follow the guide for the type of device you use.
Update Eduroam on your computer
Use eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool (eduroam CAT) to update Eduroam on your computer.
- Go to eduroam CAT.
- Search for and select Syddansk Universitet as your institution.
- Select the installer that matches your computer if it is not selected automatically.
- Download and run the installer.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Update Eduroam on your phone
Use geteduroam to update Eduroam on Android and private iPhone.
- Download geteduroam and follow the guide at eduroam.app.
- Select Syddansk Universitet as your institution.
- Follow the instructions in the app.
- Keep the app installed so your Eduroam connection continues to work.
Update before 10 September
It is important to update Eduroam on devices that SDU IT does not manage before the current certificate expires on 10 September 2026.
If you do not update the setup, your device may lose access to Eduroam.
Eduroam CAT and geteduroam support Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, Android and iOS, among others. Installation may vary depending on your device and operating system.
