The purpose of SDU's Shared Car Fleet is to reduce the total CO2 emissions associated with the use of SDU’s service cars. It will also help free up local resources from operating and managing SDU’s own cvars, while ensuring a smooth booking and driving experience.
Technical Services is responsible for the operation and administration of the car fleet.
What types of cars are available?
The car fleet consists of regular cars and minibuses.
The car fleet consists of electric, petrol and diesel cars. However, the petrol and diesel cars are gradually being phased out and replaced by electric cars.
Cars are available in Odense, Esbjerg, Kolding, Sønderborg, Slagelse and Vejle.
Who can use the shared car fleet?
The car fleet can be used by all SDU staff with a valid driving licence who are performing work for SDU.
For what purposes can the cars be used?
The cars may only be used for business purposes. Private errands, transport of unauthorised persons, hitchhiking or driving to and from private residences etc. are not permitted. Read more in the guidelines.Is it free to use the car fleet?
It is free for all employees to borrow a car from the SDU Shared Car Fleet. In addition, the car fleet covers expenses for:
- fuel and electricity, provided you use the charging tags and fuel cards available in the cars.
- Pay by Plate with Brobizz, which can be used on the Great Belt Bridge and the Øresund Bridge. Brobizz cannot be used on ferries.
SDU's Shared Car Fleet does not cover expenses for e.g. parking, ferries, foreign tolls etc. These expenses must be paid locally.
Booking is the legally required driver log
Your booking also serves as your driver log, therefore only the person listed on the booking is allowed to drive the car.
