Principles for video

• Use SDU's official videographic

  Video productions must use SDU's approved graphic elements. These can be found in the SDU Videography library in Adobe Creative Cloud. Templates for Adobe Premiere and supplementary elements for After Effects can be downloaded via the Communication SharePoint site.

  Text on video should be high contrast, use black text on a coloured or white background and only white text on a black background.

  Be aware of web accessibility requirements regarding contrast between text and background if your video will be used online.

• Use animation wisely

  You are allowed to use animated text elements and graphic transitions as long as they follow the guidelines and style of SDU's official video example.

• Correct use of SDU's logo

  The SDU logo must be used in black. When placed on a black background, the SDU logo must be used in white.

  

   

  
  
• AI-generated videos

  AI-generated videos may be used if they comply with SDU's requirements for quality, ethics and visual identity, including:

  Quality and credibility

  Content must meet the same professional and aesthetic standards as material created by professionals. (e.g. graphic designers, photographers and copywriters).

  Compliance with visual identity

  The video must match SDU's visual identity and brand. Manipulated or artificial expressions that go against authenticity must not be used.

  Legal responsibility

  You are responsible for ensuring that the material does not infringe copyright, GDPR or contain manipulated content without consent.

  It must be clearly stated if a video is primarily generated with AI.
