You can enhance SDU's international visibility by sharing relevant international researcher and employer contacts via the QS Reputation Management System.
How different groups contribute
- Use the correct SDU affiliation on publications and researcher profiles
- Update your ORCID, Scopus Author ID, PURE and Web of Science profiles each spring
- Share relevant Danish and international academic contacts through QS Reputation Management System throughout the year (See QS RMS link)
- Strengthen SDU’s international visibility through collaborations, networks, conferences, and publications
- Ensure that researchers follow SDU affiliation and researcher ID guidelines (See Researcher Guide ID check link)
- Identify research strengths, emerging fields, and strategic subject areas relevant for ranking insights in your field of expertise
- Coordinate local input to QS Reputation Management System and help identify relevant academic and employer contacts
- Provide expertise for ranking analysis, communication and interpretation of results, if needed
- Book the SDU Ranking Team to provide local guidance on correct SDU affiliation on publications and research profiles and the QS Reputation Management System
- Help collect and quality-check local input when requested
- Direct ranking-related questions to the ranking team
- Share relevant Danish and international academic and employer contacts through QS Reputation Management System throughout the year (See QS RMS link)
- Set the overall direction for SDU’s ranking work
- Use ranking analyses as input to strategic dialogue, prioritization, and external positioning
- Prioritize initiatives that strengthen SDU’s internal visibility and data quality
- Follow SDU’s performance against selected Danish and international benchmark institutions
The SDU ranking team
The SDU ranking team coordinates the practical work behind SDU's ranking activities and supports researchers, leaders, and administrative staff across the university.
- Monitors international ranking methodologies annually to assesses and anticipate implications for SDU
- Coordinate university-wide ranking processes and deadlines, and provide practical guidance on affiliations, researcher IDs, and the QS reputation management system to researchers, faculty, and heads of faculties and departments
- Collect and validate all data sources, including institutional information and reputation survey nominations, prior to ranking submission
- Analyze ranking results and benchmark SDU against selected peers to provide strategic recommendations for management
- Present annual ranking results and analytical insights to SDU leadership, as well as communicating SDU’s ranking placement to the university
A shared approach to rankings
To strengthen SDU’s approach to international rankings, Rector Jens Ringmose has established a rankings working group led by Lone Grønbæk Jørgensen, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Economics, and Centre Director at SDU. SDU Analytics participates as part of the working group to support a coordinated, data-driven rankings strategy
