Join us for an exclusive, two-day course on Water, Land-use & Ideas of Sustainability with Filippo Moretto, visiting scholar from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
Title of the course: Laboratory of Sustainability: Make Sustainability Great Again The ‘Laboratory of Sustainability’, is a two-day, partially outdoor course focused on water management, land use, and the conflicts arising from natural resource use. Through hands-on fieldwork, direct engagement with experts and communities, and exploration of real-world cases, we’ll move beyond generic definitions of sustainability. Instead, we’ll co-create precise, practical language to describe how human activities shape — and are shaped by — natural systems. Discover how local histories, ecological dynamics, and economic realities influence resource management, and help us build new paradigms for imagining more balanced futures.
When: 13th-14th of May from 10-14
Where: Odense Adelige Jomfrukloster + Outdoors — at Stige Ø or nearby location in Odense, TBA.
Who: Open to students (2nd–3rd year), researchers, and practitioners of all backgrounds.
Get ready for interactive sessions, site visit, and inspiring discussions on water, landscape, and human-environment relationships — from Veneto to Denmark.
