Faculty of Science

Study boards

The two study boards at the Faculty of Science are responsible for ensuring the quality, organisation, delivery and ongoing development of the degree programmes and teaching associated with their respective boards. They also have a duty to guarantee the involvement of both academic staff and students in these processes.

The study boards approve proposals for new programme regulations as well as amendments to existing ones, which are subsequently sent to the dean for final approval. Additionally, the study boards must be consulted in connection with proposals for, or amendments to, educational regulations.

They are also involved in the preparation of general rules for exams, grading, and teaching, and they must be consulted on other matters concerning teaching within their area.

Furthermore, the study boards are responsible for the ongoing evaluation of programme regulations, handling complaints, and making decisions in cases concerning dispensations and credit transfers.

Each study board consists of an equal number of academic staff and students.
