New management team appointed at the Department of Clinical and Preventive Dentistry

To provide the necessary organisational and academic foundation for the upcoming dentistry and dental hygiene programmes at SDU, the Department of Clinical and Preventive Dentistry is being established. Jakob Grauslund, the incoming Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, has been appointed interim Head of Department.

At the same time, an interim management group has been established to ensure progress and decision-making capacity in the development of SDU’s new dentistry and dental hygiene programmes.

The group will help maintain a high academic standard by coordinating input from working groups, working groups and other stakeholders. In addition, the group will lead the work towards prequalification and ensure a coherent and efficient process.

The management group consists of:

• Ole Skøtt, Dean
• Jakob Grauslund, acting head of the Department of Clinical  and Preventive Dentistry and head of the Department of Regional Health Research
• Merete Munk, Director of Education and Secretariat Services
• Torben H. Thygesen, head of research
• Lone Forner, acting Head of Studies for the dentistry programme
• Anette Schrøder, acting Head of Studies for the dental hygiene programme

The group is supported by an administrative team led by the faculty’s head of study administration, Kirsten Zeuthen.

Following his resignation as Dean on 1 September 2026, Ole Skøtt will continue working on the establishment of the department until the end of January 2028.
