For catering at field courses offered by the Department of Biology, each student must pay a contribution of DKK 100 per day. As the course coordinator, please contact the student secretary, Pia Mosdal, at least one month before the course starts to have a payment link created.

Field courses involve many expenses, including transportation, accommodation, and teaching hours. Therefore, it is important to be economical when purchasing food.

Courses at Svanninge Bjerge Research Station

A basic package of groceries is provided. Breakfast includes bread, cold cuts, oatmeal, etc. Lunch consists of self-made sandwiches with rye bread and cold cuts. Department Purchase Cards

The department has purchase cards for certain grocery stores. If it is necessary to buy additional groceries beyond what is delivered, healthy products must be chosen. The department cannot cover special requests, such as sweet breakfast cereals (e.g., Guldkorn, granola). Students must also finance luxury items, such as candy, ice cream, cake, chips, beer, wine, and soft drinks themselves. These may not be paid for with the department's purchase card.

Courses at the Marine Biology Research Centre in Kerteminde

Groceries are usually purchased for meals prepared in Kerteminde, and the same rules apply to the use of the department's purchase card.
