Purpose and Application
The purpose of the promotion to professor programme is to give talented associate professors the opportunity to become employed as professors through a qualification process followed by internal assessment.
The programme can be followed for a maximum of 8 years, and the University’s general guidelines for promotion to professor can be found here.
During the qualification process, the associate professor must qualify in a number of areas, which are listed below. The associate professor must therefore make it clear in the application that based on their previous career path, the necessary qualifications are likely to be achieved during the promotion programme. The associate professor must also describe the activities and milestones that will support this development.
The application form and material must be submitted in English to assist with the appointment of a review committee.
