The work environment group

Work environment issues at the department are handled and solved by managers and employees together and assisted by the work environment group. The department’s work environment group consists of the head of department and the elected work environment representative(s).

The tasks of the work environment group, among other things, is to

  • participate in planning the work environment-related tasks;
  • participate in mapping and assessing the work environment conditions;
  • ensure that the work environment conditions are safe;
  • participate in the investigation and reporting of work-related injuries as well as signs hereof;
  • influence employee’s behaviour in order to promote the individual and overall work environment;
  • act as contact between the employees and the work environment organization;
  • address local work environmental considerations of significance to the students’ physical and psychological study environment.

The main work environment committee, consisting of 4 work environment representatives, 4 executive representatives and the vice-chancellor as chair as well as 2 student observers, assists the key work environment tasks of SDU. The faculty work environment committee, consisting of the dean as chair, 1 work environment representative and 1 executive representative, assists the main work environment committee’s core efforts. Elections for the work environment organization are held every 3 years. The election periods are 2018-2020, 2021-2023 etc.
