International event based on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Join colleagues from other European universities at the Yerun Staff Days on the 7. and 8. of April 2021 with the SDGs in focus. The event is for all technical and administrative employees at SDU.
This is an invitation for you, who are interested in dialogues with colleagues from other European universities, that are occupied with the integration of the SDGs into the operation and development of the university.
SDU hosts a two-day event for the administrative and technical staff at the 17 universities, that are members of the YERUN network (Young European Research Universities).
The so-called Staff Days take place every year within the framework of YERUN, and the universities take turns hosting the event. We invite you to a digital event April 7 and 8 at 10.00 – 14.00 with the SDGs as the overall theme.
Please note that the entire event takes place in English.
We will experiment with the format, so you do not sit passively and listen to a long series of presentations for four hours two days in a row. Instead we will split the participants into minor groups, where they can discuss the following themes:
Facility management
- Better waste and resource management
- Green mobility
- Renewable energy and reduced energy consumption
Human resources
- Gender equality
- Returning to campus and office life post-COVID19 – new formats and workplace scenarios
Student services
- Student engagement and involvement
- Student employability
- The SDG’s in education
Strategy & communication
- SDGs as part of university communication and branding strategy
- Supporting researchers in SDG related dissemination

Follow the link below to read much more about the event including the program and the format.
The focal point is informal dialogues between the participants. There will be a progression in the group work from day one to two, so we recommend that you participate both days – not least out of consideration for the other group members.
After registering, the participants will be split into smaller groups based on the theme they have selected. There are a few small pre-event activities for all participants including sharing documents, links, films etc. with each other and creating a question for the group discussions. We hope that the conversations in the groups get off to a good start in this way, when nobody knows each other, and the vast majority does not speak their native language.
