SDU IT is the new joint unit for it and Digitalisation

With the turn of the year, the university says goodbye to SDU Digital and the old SDU IT and welcomes the new SDU IT.

SDU IT is the focal point for the operation and development of IT and digitalisation across research, education, knowledge collaboration and administration.

– We have spent the autumn getting closer to each other in the two areas and gained many good insights from colleagues in the rest of the organisation, says Bue Raun Andersen, Area Manager for SDU IT.

– We interviewed heads of secretariats, area managers, researchers and close partners to get a clear picture of the organisation's wishes for IT and digitalisation. We are very grateful for this, as it has given us new knowledge about the organisation's needs in this area, which we will use in the new joint unit, he says.

Dialogue and communication

In addition to the classic support needs of users, delivery of IT solutions and secure operations, the new SDU IT is keen to continue to develop close dialogue and collaboration with colleagues in the organisation so that they can jointly create more efficient IT solutions and find smarter ways to use the many solutions the unit implements or has on the shelves.

– We must make even greater use of the opportunities offered by the tools we have available today, and at the same time we must explore the new ones and act proactively in relation to the many opportunities that digitalisation brings, and in the coming period we will update our service pages and information on SDUnet to create a single entry point to SDU IT and will continuously communicate about our new initiatives, emphasises Bue Raun Andersen.

– As a colleague at SDU, you will therefore hear much more from us in new ways that can facilitate and develop your work with IT and digitalisation.
