Do you want to be a climate ambassador at SDU?
Would you like to help create change at SDU and contribute to reducing the university's climate and environmental impact?
Climate ambassadors at SDU play an important role in the work with SDU's climate plan and ambition to become a low-carbon university by 2030. SDU therefore wants to train up to ten new ambassadors by 2025.
As a climate ambassador, you act as a change agent in your own unit and take part in the implementation of joint initiatives across SDU.
You inspire colleagues to adopt climate-friendly behaviour and actions at work and develop new initiatives that can complement the efforts in SDU's climate plan .
If you apply and are appointed, you must complete the climate ambassador training at Odense Climate Partnership , which is a collaboration between Odense Municipality and a number of companies and organisations, including SDU, which is a founding member.
The training takes two days. This side of the summer holidays, new classes will be held on 27-28 March and 14-15 May. It will also be possible to take the training in the autumn if the dates in the spring do not fit your calendar.
Here you will acquire concrete and practical tools to influence behaviour and create changes that strengthen the green transition at SDU.
After the training, you will be part of the climate ambassador network at SDU and will be invited to network meetings with climate ambassador colleagues across the organisation approximately every six weeks. The meetings are held either physically in Odense or online. You will also have the opportunity to participate in Odense Climate Partnership's climate ambassador network four times a year.
Send your application to Climate Manager Bill Busch Andersen, bban@sdu.dk , 21 14 45 14. Tell us why you would like to contribute to the green transition at SDU by becoming a climate ambassador. For example, do you have experience with sustainability? Or with project management, communication, sustainability principles, environmental initiatives or similar that make you a candidate for the role of climate ambassador?
Remember to include your contact details in your application – name, position, main field of study, SDU location, phone number and email address.
If you have any questions, please contact Bill Busch Andersen (above).
Send your application no later than 16 March 2025.
The role of climate ambassador requires you to commit both time and resources, so please check with your line manager before submitting your application.
