YERUN
YERUN as a strategic network for SDU
YERUN is a European network for young, research-intensive universities. The network was founded in 2015 and is coordinated from Brussels.
The aim is to give member universities a common voice in EU decision-making processes through strategic advocacy, especially in the areas of research and education. At the same time, YERUN strengthens co-operation across universities and increases visibility through joint initiatives and communication.
What can you use YERUN for?
- Get an overview of new EU trends in research and education.
- Find relevant partners in a targeted European network.
- Get inspiration and best practices from comparable universities.
- Follow SDU's joint interest representation in European processes.
In January 2026, YERUN launched its strategy 2026-2030 – Thrive Together! – which sets the direction for the network's work in the coming years.
For SDU, YERUN is an important information channel on EU policies and a valuable forum for navigating a changing research and education landscape. Through the network, SDU collaborates with universities that share our strategic goals and we contribute to European agendas for research, innovation and education.
