Internal SDU qualification process before the application deadline
SDU must sign a declaration of support to applications from SDU. To ensure a consistently high quality of applications under the InnoExplorer programme, SDU has implemented an internal process with the following actions and deadlines:
- Internal SDU deadline (usually up to 4 weeks before the final deadline): By this date you must submit an Expression of Interest to SDU RIO. If your project is accepted, an appointed business developer from SDU RIO will guide and support you in the application process.
- Declaration of support: Your business developer will assist and guide you in the development of the application and will only get a signature from Head of Commercialisation (declaration of support) after critical review at the end of the preparation period. You will secure signature from your Head of Unit, while your appointed business developer will secure it from SDU.
- Internal SDU pitch: After the submission of the application, you must prepare a slide deck according to the InnoExplorer guidelines and pitch it before business developers from SDU RIO. This will be coordinated by your appointed business developer. This pitch will provide valuable feedback before you pitch in front of the InnoExplorer board.
This guide consolidates SDU’s practical guidance for InnoExplorer applicants and selected learnings gathered from prior application rounds. Please consider these points carefully when preparing your application.
