Local emergency procedures are an important part of SDU’s overall emergency procedure. Those who have their whereabouts in the local area on a daily basis are the best at identifying what deviates from the norm, and they have in-depth knowledge of the local risks that need to be managed.
The overall procedures and instructions will support most of the challenges you will face locally. However, it will be necessary to supplement this in some of the ‘wet areas’. This includes instructions and guidelines for laboratory work, animal housing and storage of flammable materials and liquids.
It will therefore be possible to draw up local instructions and procedures for storage or retention on local drives. These documents must be managed and maintained locally.
