If a crisis occurs at SDU that makes it impossible for the University’s ‘normal operations’ to continue, SDU must be able to carry out effective crisis management 24/7/365 based on a robust crisis management organisation.

A crisis situation can be triggered by external or internal circumstances and affect the University’s tasks within research, education and administration, as well as threaten the safety of staff, students and guests. A crisis situation can also arise if SDU’s reputation is threatened.

Crisis management aims to manage the crisis situation and restore ‘normal operations’ at SDU.

SDU’s crisis management organisation is identical to the normal management organisation.

SDU’s crisis management concept is part of the University’s overall emergency procedure concept, which is administratively anchored in Technical Services, Central Administration.
