It is considered collegial for employees and students to ensure that colleagues or fellow students are not unhappy. If you suspect unhappiness, you can express your concerns. Through a caring conversation with the person in question. Suspected unhappiness that is deemed to require external support is reported to the immediate manager.

SDU follows the Ministry of Children and Education’s handbook on security and crisis response.

The necessary level of emergency response is continuously assessed based on reported incidents and other relevant factors.

In the case of ongoing acts of rampage incidents (e.g. school shootings), the guidelines for acts of rampage incidents are followed. See link to the right. In this context, it is important that employees relate to and communicate the guidelines in a way that does not create unnecessary fear in others.
