Library gold - June 2025

You probably all ready know that you have access to the Danish media database Infomedia via the library - we give you a few search tips and also highlight PressReader, Browzine and Watchmedier, where you have easy access to quality reading material from different subject areas and industries.

Infomedia - Search tips for Infomedia

The Danish media database hardly needs any introduction. If you have experienced searching in vain for a specific paper/article you have seen online, examination/exam/assessment/test these search tips:

  • Search by article author
Type the article author's name in the search box and select ´præcis sådan' = 'exactly like this' and 'artikelforfatter' = 'article author' in the boxes to the right of the search box. Infomedia contains the paper/articles from the physical newspapers, and headings etc. may have changed in the online versions of the newspapers. Therefore, byline is a safer constant to search on than e.g. headline or other words from the paper/article
  • Search on both physical newspaper and web source.
The national newspapers are selected by default when you open Infomedia. If you need to find a paper/article you have seen on Berlingske.dk, for example, select 'Berlingske' under 'landsdækkende dagblade' = 'national newspapers' and also tick berlingske.dk under 'webkilder' = 'web sources'.

These search tips are not a guarantee that you will find what you are looking for, but they give you a greater certainty that you will either find the paper/article or realise that the article is probably not indexed in Infomedia.
