Tips for Mimer - the Library's Search Function

Have you not yet used the library's search interface Mimer, which launched last December?

Try it here and search for all kinds of scientific literature and much more. Log in: You get all active functions in Mimer by logging in via the small 'log in' button in the top right corner.

Expand search results: 'Expand with external materials' (marked with a red circle in the screenshot below) provides many more results. "It's a kind of search across all libraries. If what you're looking for, for example, is at another library, you can order directly via this function without changing platforms," says librarian Anja Pedersen

  • AI assistant: When you are logged in, you can use the AI assistant. Here you can ask a question, where the answer consists of 'the 5 most relevant sources', as well as a brief overview with source references. The AI assistant suggests related research questions, and you can also ask it to generate a thorough library search for you based on your question. Try the AI assistant here.

Search help: If you, your research group, or your students need a course in effective searches in Mimer or other library resources, contact us - we are happy to provide teaching, workshops, etc., tailored to your field.
